RHDHV reshapes road infrastructure using data collection and data analytics technology from IVEX. In the Summer of 2023, this inaugural project between both companies delivered data-driven recommendations to enhance road safety and efficiency for the Provincie of Zuid-Holland (PZH) in the Netherlands.

In this collaboration, RHDHV and IVEX join forces to revolutionize road infrastructure. Leveraging IVEX’s cutting-edge ADAS/AD data analytics software, the partnership aims at transforming roads, ensuring they are primed for the future of transportation. RHDHV’s expertise in infrastructure development, combined with IVEX’s state-of-the-art technology, results in identifying hotspots and system limitations and providing innovative solutions.

With a focus on road safety, the collaboration aims to optimize ADAS features and enhance the overall driving experience, setting new standards for the intersection of technology and infrastructure.

Challenge

• Assess the performance of Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA) and Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA) systems on the road network of the Province of Zuid Holland (PZH)

• Identify hotspots where LKA and ISA systems fail, leading to safety hazards

• Provide expertise and recommend road safety and maintenance practices for ADAS-equipped vehicles

Solution

• Perform data collection campaign and data processing (~650 kilometers driven)

• Provide valuable data and insights to support RHDHV in hotspots reporting

• Synchronise videos and hotspots to enable experts to gather insights to enhance road safety

Outcomes

• LKA and ISA hotspots identified and mapped

• Insights and solutions provided to enhance road safety and maintenance practices

• Decision-making facilitated for the Province of Zuid Holland (PZH) to improve the safe operation of ADAS systems on their road network
