On-road testing turns thousands of kilometers of real-world driving into minutes of safety-relevant events, and it takes a full chain to get there: a sensor kit in the vehicle, reliable recording and upload, processing pipelines, the analysis tools our customers use to find what matters in their data and to evaluate vehicle functions on the roads. As Product Manager for On-Road Testing, you will facilitate the development, validation and launch of our on-road capabilities across the full lifecycle: including improving hardware and software. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, field operations, customer success and sales, and shoulder to shoulder with the customers who run campaigns with our equipment.

Your mandate is delivering excellence across that chain. Your focus will be driving innovation in our hardware sensor kit, and the accompanying software for on-road testing. You will drive the coordination, development and execution of engineering solutions that advance installation and setup, recording reliability, data quality and the handover into our processing pipelines. You will identify needs and opportunities for on-road testing that can be adopted by testing institutions across the world.

In this role you will identify the needs of our customers, identify state-of-the-art solutions for drastically improving on-road testing capabilities.You will propose roadmaps, workflows and plans. Technical depth is a prerequisite to interpret recorded data, propose testing workflows capable of understanding different vehicle ADAS functions, give technical guidance on sensor selection and vehicle integration, enabling the resolution of technical trade-offs that require cross-functional alignment.

You will work closely together with the engineers who build our hardware and data pipelines, the field team who install and operate the kits, and the customers who rely on them during and after testing.Job location: Leuven, Belgium

In this role you will

• Serve as the key point of contact, internally and externally, for the on-road portfolio — owning its lifecycle, roadmap and continuous advancement end to end.

• Define, implement and drive product requirements, workflows and plans. Manage timelines and risks, uncover roadblocks, define critical paths, and set the KPIs that track delivery against every milestone.

• Drive the continuous advancement of our sensor kit: installation and setup effort, recording reliability, monitoring during a campaign, data quality and the handover into our processing pipelines.

• Propose, specify and validate new features across the on-road workflow, grounding every proposal in recorded data, field experience and customer evidence.

• Holistically identify risks and opportunities across the on-road domain, enable the resolution of technical conflicts that require cross-functional alignment, and drive issues to closure.

• Engage directly with customers to acquire deep insight into their test and analysis workflows and understand the needs for the development of new on-road testing protocols, uncovering opportunities for new capabilities and for strengthening existing ones.

• Work with hardware and integration partners on component selection, cost, supply and the practicalities of getting a kit into a vehicle and out on the road.

• Take on additional parts of the product portfolio as the role grows.

What we are looking for

• Expertise in understanding market needs and translating them into clear workflows that can be transformed into hardware and software solutions.

• Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 3+ years of relevant experience in automotive testing, sensor integration, field data collection or an applied engineering role.

• Hands-on experience with automotive sensor equipment and its installation into real applications, and proficiency with different software platforms and how to leverage AI tools in your daily work. Able to use data and metrics to quantify impact and make recommendations.

• Demonstrated ability to own technical products end to end and execute complex, multi-team initiatives in parallel on short timelines, pivoting quickly as priorities change, with a "can do" attitude: finding paths around obstacles and delivering results with limited resources. Comfortable spending time in the vehicle and on the road.

• Excellent communication in English, bridging technical teams and business stakeholders.
