[Leuven, the 1st of March 2024] – Euro NCAP is teaming up with IVEX for a world’s first on-road robustness test and assessment initiative. The collaboration aims to develop the protocols for on-road robustness evaluation for active safety systems in passenger cars which will be in vigour starting in 2026.
Scope and Goals
The collaboration seeks to enhance testing methodologies for ADAS by introducing dynamic and on-road robustness tests in the evaluation process. IVEX will play a major role in data analytics and reporting, ensuring comprehensive and insightful assessment criteria of all collected data.
This collaboration marks an important step forward in our commitment to evolve vehicle’s safety. With real-world driving scenarios, we aim to provide a more accurate and robust evaluation of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). IVEX brings valuable expertise to this vision, and we look forward to the insights of this collaboration.

Collaboration Overview
- Euro NCAP provides strategic oversight and direction for the collaboration, which involves cars, equipped with extra sensors, driving in multiple European countries
- IVEX technology creates a 360o view around the test car, measuring different car’ systems, such as LSS and SAS (Lane Support System and Speed Assistance System) on the roads. IVEX supports Euro NCAP providing comprehensive data analytics and reporting
